Brian joined Bienville in 2017 as a senior member of the investment team. In this role, he is focused on company and securities analysis across both developed and emerging markets.
Brian has over 10 years of investment experience across a wide variety of asset classes, geographies and industries. Prior to Bienville, he was a Vice President at Fir Tree Partners, a multi-billion dollar, global multi-strategy investment firm, where he invested in pubic equity and debt, commercial real estate, non-performing residential loans and renewable energy. Prior to Fir Tree Partners, Brian was at Marathon Asset Management, a multi-billion dollar, global credit-oriented hedge fund, as an associate in their real estate and private investments group focused on distressed and high-yield loans, property acquisitions and a portfolio of private corporate investments. Prior to Marathon Asset Management, Brian was an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse where he worked on numerous transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, IPOs, recapitalizations and restructurings within the REIT, lodging/leisure/gaming, online travel, data center and home-building industries. Prior to Credit Suisse, he was an analyst in Deutsche Bank’s structured finance group where he priced residential whole loans and helped issue residential mortgage-backed securities. Brian started his career at Deloitte as an analyst auditing mortgage-backed securities alongside bulge-bracket investment bank issuers.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rutgers University. Born and raised in New Jersey, Brian now resides in New York, NY.
